Junior Member Participates in SkillsUSA

On Saturday, February 1, 2025, Jason Alvey, a Junior Member, took part in a SkillsUSA EMS Skills competition which was hosted by the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department. Nine teams from St. Mary's, Charles, and Calvert counties participated in a multievent competition that judged the competitors on multiple different categories. Structure Fire in Lexington Park

Deputy Fire Chief Ronald (Ronnie) Alvey, January 23

At 7:15 PM on January 23, volunteers from Company 6 responded to Lexington Park in the Tri-Community Way mobile home park for a structure fire. The caller advised the entire structure was on fire. Units arrived to find a single wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. Porch Fire in Callaway

At 13:15 on January 9th, units from Company 6, along with units from Companies 1, 3, 9, and 13, responded to a structure fire in Hunting Quarters. Initial reports indicated a porch fire with potential extension into the residence were received by the emergency communications center. Engine 61 arrived first and reported no visible signs of fire.
