Another First Due Working House Fire

Lieutenant Fire Heather Bean, January 26

At 1033 on January 26, 2016 Company 6 was dispatched for another working house fire in the 44000 block of Shore Dr in Tall Timbers. Engine 61 was first to respond, the crew arrived on location with a fully involved garage with some extension into the house of a one story single family dwelling. First Due Working House Fire

At 1720 On January 23 members from Company 6 were staffed at the station for the blizzard when the tones dropped for the working trailer fire in the 17000 block of Piney Point Rd. Engine 61 responded with 6 volunteers, fireboard advised it was believed to now be a working house fire with no reports of people inside. Survivors From Capsized Vessel Reunite With Rescuers

On December 30, 2015 members from SDVFDRS & LPRS headed to US Coast Guard station Annapolis to reunite with the survivors whom were pulled from the Potomac River when their vessel capsized Dec. 20. Brad Stemcosky and Charlie Frend met with responders and shared their experience and gave many thanks to all involved. Many news reporters gathered to catch the great story for the evening news.
