Carol Boehm Inducted into the Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman's Association Hall of Fame

The Officers and Members of the Second District Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad, Inc. are extremely proud to announce that one of our own, Carol G. Boehm, has been inducted into the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman’s Association Convention meeting held in Waldorf, MD.
Ms. Boehm began her volunteer emergency medical services career in 1997 with the Charles County Advanced Life Support, receiving her credentials as a an EMT-Paramedic in 1998, and serving as Training Officer from 1998 to 2000.
In 2005, Carol joined the St. Mary’s County Advanced Life Support, and honorably served as Training Officer, Quality Assurance, Chief, President, and Member of the Board of Directors, and currently remains as a member of that organization.
Carol also served as a member of the Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad from 2006 to 2010.
In 2018, Ms. Boehm joined the Second District VFD&RS, Inc., and has served as the Assistant Emergency Medical Services Chief, as well as a member of the Board of Directors.
Additionally, Carol served as the Chairperson for the St. Mary’s County Rescue Squad Association in 2021, and has performed as an instructor on numerous emergency medical services topics.
We congratulate Carol on this prestigious, and well-deserved honor, and are very proud of her many achievements in the volunteer emergency medical services.
