Hurst Tool Demo

On April 16, 2025, members of the Second District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad participated in a training session to sharpen their vehicle extrication skills using the newest and most advanced Hurst extrication tools.

Extrication tools are essential in emergency rescue situations, allowing first responders to cut through metal, remove doors, and gain access to patients trapped in vehicles. Regular training with these tools ensures responders are prepared to act quickly and efficiently when lives are on the line.

The tools demonstrated during the drill were provided by Municipal Emergency Services (MES), giving members the opportunity to train with the latest technology in vehicle rescue.

A big thank you to SDVFDRS member Rob Clinton and Champions Used Auto Parts for donating the vehicles used in this important drill and demonstration.
