Congratulations to Firefighter Darrick Henderson, Firefighter/EMT Brittney Bean, and Water Supply Officer Dylan Walker on completing Airport Rescue Firefighter (ARFF) class.
Aircraft Rescue Firefighter class is a training course for firefighters who specialize in aircraft rescue and firefighting. The ARFF class covers topics such as airport and aircraft familiarization, safety and communications, fire extinguishing agents and equipment, rescue and extrication techniques, and live fire scenarios. It is a challenging and rewarding course for firefighters who want to enhance their skills and knowledge in aircraft rescue firefighting. The course is 51 hours in length. Instructors are Maryland State Certified Emergency Services Instructors from the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, University of Maryland, headquartered in College Park, MD.
