On Saturday, September 14, at 11:05 the Second District Volunteers and St. Mary's County DES responded to the area of Point Lookout Road & Lily Lane for the reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. Chief 6B was in the area and arrived within a minute of dispatch and advised there was a single vehicle into the ditch and that there was a single patient for check up. Squad 6, Ambulance 6, Engine 61, and the Medical Duty Officer arrived and performed patient care and assisted with removing debris from the roadway. The patient was transported to an area trauma center by ground for further care. Units cleared the scene around 11:38 and turned the scene over to police. Verizon was requested to replace a broken telephone pole.
