At 13:15 on January 9th, units from Company 6, along with units from Companies 1, 3, 9, and 13, responded to a structure fire in Hunting Quarters. Initial reports indicated a porch fire with potential extension into the residence were received by the emergency communications center. Engine 61 arrived first and reported no visible signs of fire. A 360-degree assessment was conducted and confirmed no other evidence of fire from the exterior of the residence. A neighbor informed the first-arriving engine that they had extinguished the fire using a garden hose. Crews from Engine 61 and Truck 1 inspected for fire extension and found none. All units returned to service.
