| The officers and members of the Second District Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad announce the passing of Past President and Life Member James Arthur Pilkerton, who died on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Arthur Pilkerton joined the Second District Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad in 1995 and dedicated twenty-five years to the organization. Throughout his service, he supported both emergency medical services and held several administrative positions, including serving as President from 2009 to 2011.
Arthur was also a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who enlisted and served during the Vietnam conflict.
Over his years with the department, he earned several ribbons, including Military Service, Past President, Executive Officer, Life Member, and EMS Lieutenant.
Services for Arthur will be held on Monday, April 20th at Brinsfield Funeral Home. Viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by funeral Services at 12 p.m. |
