Firefighters Sharpen Vehicle Fire Skills

On Wednesday, February 25th, members of the SDVFD&RS sharpened their skills by training on vehicle fire scenarios to better understand how to plan for incidents like these and how to respond effectively when they occur. The officers and members of the SDVFD&RS consistently train on various scenarios to maintain the knowledge and skill levels necessary for proficiency.

On Wednesday, February 25th, the SDVFD&RS and mutual aid companies were alerted to the 20800 block of Callaway Village for a reported laundromat fire with subjects trapped. Engine 61 arrived on scene to find a one-story strip mall structure with nothing evident from the exterior. Chief 6 arrived shortly after and assumed command.
