Motor Vehicle Accident in Callaway Sends One to Trauma Center

On Saturday, September 14, at 11:05 the Second District Volunteers and St. Mary's County DES responded to the area of Point Lookout Road & Lily Lane for the reported motor vehicle accident with injuries. Traumatic Injury in Tall Timbers with Flyout

On July 2nd, 2024 at approximately 2:30 PM, the SDVFD&RS was alerted for the report of traumatic injuries possible one individual in the water in the area of 18300 River Road in Tall Timbers. Ambulance 67 and Squad 6 responded to the call within minutes. Ambulance 67 arrived on location to find an injured female patient, conscious and alert in the water. On Friday, May 31 at approximately 14:47 Second District Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad was alerted for a field fire on Christianna Way in Drayden. Brush 6 arrived and reported a 40'x40' field fire spreading rapidly. Volunteers Respond to Valley Lee Transfer Station

Swift action by the Second District Volunteer Fire Department & Rescue Squad, Inc. and St. Mary's County Department of Public Works (DPW) contained a dumpster fire at the Valley Lee Transfer Station.
